My Brother Miles

I love each and every one of the wonderful family members which I have been blessed with.  I especially love my oldest brother Miles. At 25, Miles is already more traveled that most people twice his age. Thanks to spending the last few years of his life traveling the world Miles has dozens of stamps in his passport.  Unfortunately, throughout all of his wondering the globe he never came to visit me at my new home in The Bahamas.  Well, Miles remedied that problem a few months ago, which made me very happy.

My husband put together a brief video chronicling some of the adventures we had while my brother stayed with us.  Hopefully it will give you a little taste of some of his Bahamian experiences.

If I can jump anything is possible….

Two years ago yesterday I married the most special man in the world. Two years ago today I had my very first kitesurfing lesson and came to the conclusion afterwards that I would NEVER jump, even if I kiteboarded for 100 years. It was completely out of the realm of possibility for me. Jumping is something that cool, super athletic guys who are big time pros do. I didn’t belong in any of those categories.

Yesterday my wildest dream came true. I jumped… and then jumped and then jumped some more. It was the most crazy, awesome, exhilarating experience. And guess what? I was even landing my jumps. Yes, my friends. I have news for you. If I can land a jump ANYTHING you could ever dream of doing is possible.

The last two years have been a crazy fun adventure with Brett. Kitesurfing has been a big part of our time spent together. I have hated it and loved it, sometimes both within the same ten minutes. I have yelled at Brett and been yelled at. Kiting has caused me to cry, laugh and bleed. Despite all this I am very thankful for the chance to learn this highly challenging sport and am very grateful to Brett for never giving up on me.

Sweet Smelling Sheets and Fixing Boards

I just washed my sheets and hung them outside! I can't wait to sleep in sweet smelling sheets tonight.

I also discovered Brett fixing his kiteboard yesterday afternoon in beautiful light...
